Nett Stroke Play Explained
Nett Stroke Play is a golf scoring format that adjusts a player's gross score (total strokes) using their handicap. This format allows golfers of all skill levels to compete more evenly by factoring in individual abilities.
How Does it Work?
For this event, 95% of your GA Handicap will be used to calculate your Nett Score. Here's how it works:
- Your total strokes (gross score) on each hole are recorded.
- Your adjusted strokes are calculated by applying your handicap to the gross score.
- The player with the lowest nett score wins.
Example:
If you have a GA Handicap of 18, your adjusted handicap for this event will be 95% of 18, which is 17.1 (rounded down to 17). If you score 90 strokes, we subtract your 17 adjusted strokes, resulting in a Nett Score of 73.
